Side Trip To Villeneuve – 28 Days in Avignon – Day 19

Today I walked all the way to Villeneuve, on the other side of the Rhone river, mainly to visit the St. Andre Castle and La Chartreuse, a monastery dating back to the middle ages. That was particularly fun because there are plenty of cool little spaces (i.e. spiral/narrow staircases) that you can explore to learn about the period. I also met quite a few cats, and of course since yesterday’s pastry didn’t last, picked up a bit more on the way home. It was a good, good day.
