Pictures from the weekend at the Outdoor Adventure Show – Toronto.
As always, the show offers me a great opportunity to meet up with lot of friends and well-wishers – especially ones I only otherwise know virtually. (Like you, for example. Hi!) In fact, after 2 days chatting and interacting, I found myself pausing to reflect a bit about how lucky I am. I know this might sound trite, but it’s true. There I was, sitting with the exhibitors and presenters dinner (thanks Christina for setting that up), surrounded by great writers, famous bloggers, video stars, and sitting right beside a downright legend. I couldn’t have imagined a few years ago that I’d be involved in such an awesome community, let alone to consider them all friends.
It was also a great opportunity to see how many people have fallen in love with Nancy. In the short time she was there, she was practically mobbed with well wishes and scratches. I’m so glad so many of you got a chance to see for yourself what a sweet, friendly girl she is – not to mention how many said so upon meeting her.
I was pretty happy thinking about the weekend, but being the introvert that I am, it took me a few days to recharge back to normal – maybe you know what I mean. So thank you all for coming to my presentation and to see Nancy in the pool. So glad to meet everyone, from old friends and new friends, to waves from the other side of the room, and even those other moments of awkward recognition from across the room, not knowing what to do in the moment.
You fellow introverts know exactly what I mean.
