Today I went to the Basilica of Santa Croce to see some more fancy church stuff, but also some resting places for some famous Florentines. I should have looked up the right term for someone who comes from Florence for my video, because as I walk among the statues in the Piazzale degli Uffizi, I talk about how this city reveres its famous inhabitants, but also a lot of them wound up getting banished, only to come back home (whether they wanted to or not). And speaking of famous, I also got to get one of those All’Antico Vinaio sandwiches. Usually the line is way too long but I lucked out. A must try if you visit!
